The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, May 3, 2015, at the residence of Ron and Carolyn.
Ron was born on January 1, 1955, in Guilford County, NC to W. H. “Dub” and Betty Ward Matthews. He loved his family, restoring his cars, drag racing and deer hunting.
Mr. Matthews was preceded in death by his father, W. H. “Dub” Matthews, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Carolyn Matthews; mother, Betty Ward Matthews of Burlington; daughters, Michelle Sessoms and her husband Scott of Fayetteville, Aimee Matthews, Shay Lucas and Brenna Lucas all of Greensboro; several grandchildren; brother, Richard Matthews and his wife Teresa of Liberty and his sister, Donna Ross and her husband David of Greensboro.
