Before moving to the United States, Rosa worked as a secretary in the governmental offices in Cuba. After coming to the United States in 1968 she worked in various workplaces.
She was married to Jose Antonio Cainas who preceded her in death in 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Aracelia Martinez, Filiberta Pousa and her brothers, Ruben Castro and Heriberto Castro.
Rosa is survived by her son, Gonzalo “Gonzo” Cainas and his wife Sharon of High Point; grandchildren, Leslie Cainas, Douglas Cainas, Corey Cainas and great grandchildren, Jacob, Connor and Paisley Cainas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Tower Mausoleum at Guilford Memorial Park.
