A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 10th at 2:00pm in the Fellowship Center at Christ United Methodist Church. Friends will be received following the service in the gathering space.
Ruby was born June 8, 1928 in Virginia Beach, VA, the daughter of the late James Tatem and Annie Brothers Tatem.
She was a long-time member of Christ United Methodist Church. Ruby operated a childcare service out of her home. She loved and cared for those children as if they were her own. Ruby and her husband had a second home at Virginia Beach and enjoyed spending time there. She will be remembered as a fun-loving, happy soul who never met a stranger. Most of all, Ruby loved her family.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Armeniox; siblings, Eddie E. “Sparks” Tatem, Fred C. Tatem, Bennie Tatem (Bessie), Frank L. Tatem (Helen), John Tatem (Mabel), Otis Tatem (Leona), Julian Tatem, Daisy Tatem Fann (Frank), Annie Mae Taitz, Floyd and Marvin Tatem.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Stephen M. Armeniox (Toril), B. Augusta Armeniox, Donna Cox (Mark) and Paul J. Ameniox (Barbara); brother, Willie Tatem (Donna); brother-in-law, Robert Taitz and sisters-in-law, Lillie and Blanche Tatem as well as many grandchildren who she adored.
