Sandra Jane Stone

Sandra was born November 15, 1947 in Cullman, Alabama to Aron and Margaret Bentley. As a young girl her family moved to Homestead, Fl., where she graduated from South Dade High School in 1965. Sandra met and married her husband of almost 59 years, Paul and started a family with three beloved children Paul, Kelly and Jerry.

Sandra was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed spending time with family and preparing them her traditional southern home cooked meals. She was very competitive and loved playing cards and board games with family. Known as Mom-Mom, to her grandchildren, she loved to go fishing or on nature walks with her granddaughters when they were younger, always on the lookout for the elusive armadillo! One of her greatest joys as she got older was for her and Paul to be able to travel to California to visit with her oldest son and family. Sandra spent many years as a buyer for Lee Memorial Hospital in Ft. Myers, Fl., a job that she was very passionate about.

Sandra is survived by her beloved husband Paul, brother Frankie Bentley (Robin), son Paul Stone (Roger), Daughter Kelly Spann (Chris), son Jerry Stone (Ann), granddaughters Megan Dowhower (Joe), and Ashley Johnson (Matthew), grandson Aaron Stone and great grandson Liam Dowhower. Sandra is preceded in death by her father Aron Bentley and Mother Margaret Howell (Craft).
