Sylvia Joyce Allred McDaniel, 80, a resident of Greensboro passed away on Friday October 19, 2018. She was born September 19, 1938 in Robbins, the daughter of the late Colvin Ishmael Allred and Mary Frances Britt Allred.
Sylvia worked with Eagle Family Medicine, where she retired from in 2014 and was of the Baptist faith. She graduated from Elise High School in Robbins. Sylvia was married to Ray Bradford McDaniel who preceded her in death in February 1999.
She is survived by daughters, Sheree McDaniel Long and husband David of Westminster, SC, Dorain McDaniel Jacobs and husband Larry of Greensboro, Rayeann McDaniel Anderson of Greensboro; brother, Charles Ishmael Allred of Jamestown; nine grandchildren, Katee Powers, Amanda Houglan, Gabriel Coltrane, Hillary Hall, Adrian Jacobs, Dakota Andrews, Raven Andrews, Joshua Anderson, Jeremiah Anderson and 12 great grandchildren, Victoria Brimer, Jarrett Brimer, Julie Brimer, Gabrielle Powers, Jonathan Powers, Nathaniel Powers, Jordan Jones, Brianna Coltrane, Andrew Coltrane, Taylor Houglan, Gwendolyn Hall and Kaylee Andrews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Pastor Mark Brookhart. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
