Thomas Wilson White, 87, a resident of Greensboro died Thursday June 6, 2013 at the Veterans Home in Durham. Mr. White was born April 7, 1926 in Rockingham, the son of Hardy “Hard” Wilson and Mary Emmie Deese White. He retired as a foundryman with the Pomona Company. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Clifton Roads Baptist Church. Mr. White was married to Geneva Gertrude Williams White who preceded him in death on November 10, 1999. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his children, Brenda White Moore of Greensboro, Linda White Sizemore of Pleasant Garden, John Thomas White and wife Kathy of Stokesdale, Vicky White Moore of Butner, Keith Wilson White of Climax; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Guilford Memorial Park conducted by Reverend Tommy Sizemore, Jr. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
