Mr. Vincent M. Scaramastra, 86, of Greensboro, died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Moses Cone Hospital.
A private funeral service was held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church by Fr. Christopher Davis.
Vincent was born August 9, 1926 in Scranton, PA, the son of Rocco Scaramastra and Katherine Schiappa Scaramastra.
Vincent was a veteran of the US Army serving his country during WWII. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, Vincent was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Irene Scaramastra.
Surviving are his children, Russell Vincent Scaramastra of Reading, PA; Mary Scaramastra Yohe of Gettysburg, PA; Diane Graham and Thomas Scaramastra, both of Greensboro and Therese Erthal of Dothan, AL; sisters, Connie Sacchetti and Adeline Ray, both of Scranton, PA and Anne-Marie Yanover of Santa Barbara, CA; brothers, Julio Scaramastra of Camarillo, CA and Rocco Scaramastra of Seattle, WA; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
