Wyatt Mooney

Wyatt was born in Caldwell County, NC on August 14, 1934. He served his country in the US Army and then was recalled during the term of President Kennedy. He worked with AT&T until his retirement. Wyatt was of the Baptist faith. He loved woodworking, crafts, and could fix anything. Wyatt enjoyed all sports , especially football. He was the most precious, wonderful and gracious, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be deeply missed by all, especially by his beloved four legged princess, “Tinkerbell.”

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 51 years, Norma Coble Mooney; daughters; Teresa Mooney Arthur and husband Tommy of Jamestown, NC, Sheila Mooney Warren and fiancé James Wilkes, Alisa Mooney Griffin and husband Tony, all of Greensboro, NC; granddaughters; Keri, Starr, and Brittany; great-granddaughters,Alyssa and Peyton and brother, Ray Mooney and wife Carolyn of Greensboro, NC.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
