Alice Marie Powers

Alice attended Greensburg High School. Shortly after, she married the love of her life, Robert E. Powers. Together they shared many wonderful years and raised two children, Vickie and Michael.

Alice will be remembered for her warm heart, kind spirit, and love of family. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, singing at her church, and spending time with her loved ones. She was a proud member of the Eastern Star and a devoted member of Clarksburg Christian Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Tucker; her son, Michael (Susie) Powers; her grandchildren, Vanessa Miller, Chris White, Melinda Powers, and Marcia Powers; and her great-grandchildren, Jonathon, Brianna, Leanna, and Jacob; three great great grandchildren; and special friend, Judy Greer.

Alice was preceded in death by her father, Lafayette Alexander; mother, Leora Wettering; husband, Robert E. Powers; sister, Mary Ann Phillips; and brother, Sherwood Alexander.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, Friday, November 7, 2025 from 10:30 am until the time of the funeral at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Clarksburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Clarksburg Christian Church or to the First Baptist Church. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. The family would like to give their thanks to the nurses at Aspen Place for their care and dedication.
