Anne Lee Smith

Anne Cooper Smith, 100 of Clarksburg passed away on December 6, 2019 at Aspen Place under the care of Our Hospice of Decatur County. Born September 10, 1919 in Decatur County to Bert J. Cooper and Ossie (Kimerly) Cooper. She married William A. Smith March 1, 1979. He preceded her in death on August 27, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother William M. Cooper of Clarksburg, one sister Mary Ellen Stevens of Cincinnati. Survivors include 3 nieces, Roberta Cooper (John) Speer, Rodella Cooper (Jeff) Speer and Jane Stevens (Laird) Simons of Kansas City, MO. Anne graduated in 1937 from Clarksburg High School. Also a graduate of Indiana Business School in Indianapolis. She was Post Master of the Clarksburg Post Office for 35 years, a member of the Eden OES and a member of the Sandusky Methodist Church.
