Brian D. Hess

Brian D. Hess, 55, of Greensburg passed away on December 9, 2013 at Margaret Mary Hospital. He was born on March 14, 1958, in Greensburg, the son of Charles and Alice Hess. Brian was a 1976 graduate of South Decatur High School. He served his country in the United States Army. Brian married Jewelene A. Rousey on March 31, 1984. He worked as a Foreman for the Indiana Department of Transportation since 1978. Brian was a member of the Moose Lodge, Eagles, and Tree City Anglers. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his boys and grandchildren. He played a lot of different leagues including: Darts, Cornhole, Bowling, and Softball.

Survivors include: Wife- Jewelene A. Hess, Mother- Alice Hess, Children- Michele L. Hess, Branden (Carrie) Hess, and Dustin (Ashley) Hess, Grandchildren- Maria Hess, Felicity Hess, Shayelyn Hess, Destinee Hess, and Brody Hess, Sisters- Maxine Wilhoit of Franklin, and Chloe (Richard) DeLay, Brother- Kenneth “Danny” (Jama) Hess, and several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father and Brother- Gary Hess.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland Howe Funeral Home on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 2:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 6:00 pm. Rev. Mark Vice will be officiating. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Brian to the Cutting Edge Sporting Goods Store for Archery Lessons for Children.
