Douglas M. Bennett

Douglas M. Bennett, 61, of Greensburg passed away on May 16, 2015 at 24th and Georgetown in Speedway, Indiana. Doug was born on February 15, 1954 in Greensburg, Indiana the son of Lyman and Erma (Beagle) Bennett. He was a 1972 graduate of South Decatur High School. On May 25, 1985 he married Christina Marie Brown. Doug was a lifetime farmer of Decatur County and also worked for 25 years at NTN-BCA; and Honda Manufacturing until he retired in 2015. His family was the center of his life, with them he enjoyed, sporting events, camping, antique tractors, and the Indy 500. Doug was also a member of the Burney Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Wife- Christina Bennett; Daughters- Heather Lynn (Andrew) Morrison, Amy Marie Moon-Haley, Joyce Elizabeth (Danny) Sebastian, Stacey Dawn (Christopher) Sundal, and Vicci Lynn Moon; Brother- David (Diana) Bennett; Grandchildren- Ethan Sebastian, Cole Sebastian, Cameron Haley, Garrett Sebastian, Brayley Sundal, Natalie Israel, RieAnna Haley, and Kennedy Sundal; Buddies- Chopper and Ringo. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Rev. Scott Sharp will be officiating. A Visitation for family and friends will follow from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Burial will be at the Hebron Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to ALS.
