

Edward “Eddie” Howard, 89, of Greensburg passed away on August 18, 2013. He was born on April 5, 1924 in Lincoln County, Kentucky the son of Thomas and Jessie Carpenter- Howard. He graduated from Greensburg High School in 1943. On September 15, 1945 he married Dorothy Bausback. They were married for over 67 years. Eddie retired from First Federal Savings and Loan as the Bank Managing President in 1983. He served on the Board of Directors from 1952 until 2002. When he retired as Board Chairman he had the distinction of being the longest serving director of First Federal Savings and Loan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Greensburg.
Survivors include: Wife- Dorothy Howard, Daughter- Paula Howard, Son- Steven (Linda) Howard, Grandchildren- Stephanie (Keith) Kinnick, Steven Howard, II, David Howard, and Nicholas (Shawna) Howard, Great Grandchildren- Kevin (Ramanda) Kinnick, Ryan (Kortnie) Kinnick, Courtney Kinnick, Jocelyn Howard, Whitney Howard, and Meriam Howard, Great Great Grandchildren- Chesney Kinnick and Alayna Kinnick. He was preceded in death by: Parents, Sisters- Eula Howard, Beulah Howard, Ethel Jaynes, Brothers- Loyd Howard, Curtis Howard, Rowlins Howard, and James Howard.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland Howe Funeral Home on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral at Noon. Rev. Cliff Bunch will be officiating.
