Marjorie Ann (Wenning) Geis

Marjorie Ann (Wenning) Geis passed away on March 2, 2019. She was born on August 1, 1936, the daughter of Alex and Alma Wenning. It would be impossible to list the many organizations in which she donated her time, or list the lives she touched in her selfless life. She truly dedicated her life to her family, her community and the Lord. She married Carl Geis on May 10, 1958 and he survives. She is survived by 9 children: James (Debbie) Geis, Mark Geis, Steve (Carole Sue) Geis, Diane (James) Kirscher, Larry (Annette) Geis, Carol (Tom) Crowe, Wayne Geis, Joyce (Kevin Gall) Geis, and Nick (Teresa) Geis. She had 28 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren with two more on the way. Sisters, Sue Koors and Norma (Willie) Schebler. She was preceded in death by her parents, and five sisters: Mary Louise Richards, Mildred Berkemeier, Jane Koors, Thelma Wenning, and Sarah Wenning. A reception style visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm with Rosary at 3:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catherine of Siena at St. Maurice at 10:00 am on Friday, March 8, 2019 officiated by Father Bill Ehalt. Burial will be take place at the St. Maurice Cemetery following the funeral mass. Memorials may be made to St. Catherine of Siena CCD Program or St. Vincent House or the donor’s choice.
