Robert was a 1956 graduate of Herrin High School and went on to earn his degree from The Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy in 1961. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. His career took him across the country, working for various metal processing companies.
On October 19, 1974, Robert married Donna Pitel, and together they raised two sons, Matthew and Jack. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who found great joy in his family. Robert was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church, where he found community and faith.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Booth of Greensburg; his sons, Matthew (Rikka) Booth of Columbus and Jack (Melissa) Booth of Fairfield, Ohio and his grandchildren, Nicholas Booth and fiancé Gracie Sorrells, Ashlyn (Zach) Scott, Tyler Booth, Landon Booth and great-granddaughter Madelyn Sue Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral at 11:30 am Rev.
