Roberta Wilson Wilson Witowich

Roberta Wilson Witowich, age 67 of Somerset, departed this life on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born on December 19, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN to Hershel Wilson and the late Thelma (Weber) Wilson. She was a retired medical technician for Oakwood and a former Pulaski County Deputy Jailer for 8 years. Roberta was an avid bowler, holding the office of President of the Lake Cumberland Women Bowling Association. She held numerous offices in several other leagues, too. She was an avid sports addict and a diehard U.K. fan. She was an active volunteer for United Way and American Cancer Society and active member of the Kentucky Retired Employees Association. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: her father, Hershel Wilson of Greensburg, IN; her husband, Stephen “Wit” Witowich, whom she married on May 11, 1995 in Somerset, KY; a daughter, Dawn Marie (and Stefan) Dalton of Somerset, KY; a son, Brian (and Michelle) Witowich of Ambridge, PA; three grandchildren, Alicia, Alex, and Baran Witowich; a brother, Harold Eugene (and Jeanne) Wilson of Greensburg, IN; a sister, Patricia Kay (and Art) Koors of Greensburg, IN; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; a sister-in-law, Cathy Wilson of Greensburg, IN; and four special friends, Jean Harris, Linda Jones, Jody Petrey, and Becky Webster. She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Wilson and a brother, Edward Dale Wilson.

A Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, March 15th at 6:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home and then on Friday, March 16th from 4-8 pm at Gilliland - Howe Funeral Home in Greensburg, IN. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 17th at 2:00 pm at the Gilliland - Howe Funeral Home with Rev. John Mattern officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
