

Sarah “Ida” Belle (Bolling) Combs, 77 of Greensburg, peacefully went home to her heavenly reward with God, on Sunday, March 4, 2012. Ida was born on June 2, 1934 in Lee County, Virginia the daughter of William and Mahilia (Davis) Bolling. On July 31, 1954 she married Curtis Elwood Combs in Versailles, Indiana. Ida was the owner of Ida Belle’s Crafts and Co-owner of Combs Siding. She was a member of the Greensburg Free Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for 30 years. She was active in the Gideons, Attended the Wesleyan Church of Greensburg, Tri W Weight Group, and Weight Loss Companions. She traveled with her family as “The Combs Family Singers” spreading God’s word to many.
Survivors include: Husband- Curtis Combs, Sr., Daughters- Rosalia (Husband-David) Young, Kathyleen Combs, Dorothy (Husband-Matthew) Galbraith, Donna Mitchell, Son- Curtis (Wife- Jannie) Combs, Jr., Grandchildren- Jason Young, Jacob Young, Andrew Galbraith, Jonathan Galbraith, William Galbraith, Sonny Mitchell, Maria Combs, Curtis Combs III, Victor Combs, Jeanine Dale, Great Grandchildren- Tristian Galbraith, Chase Galbraith, Mikayla Young, and Cheyenne Young.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. also at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Rev. Doug Preston will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Gideons.
