Alberta Jean Plessinger

Alberta Jean Plessinger age 77, of Greenville passed away at 12:34 am Saturday, October 1, 2022, at her residence. Alberta was born November 23, 1944 in Greenville to the late Arthur Hayes & Nadine (Wood) Clemens. Alberta was also preceded in death by a step grandson, Ethan Dillon; brothers, Fred & Ed Hayes; and sister, Artha Deena Crawley. Alberta is survived by her husband of 55 years, David A. Plessinger whom she married May 6, 1967; sons, David Plessinger II, of Greenville and Steve Plessinger of Greenville; step son, Brad Dillon of New Castle, Indiana; grandchildren, Addison Plessinger, Harrison Plessinger, Erica Righter and Erinn Dillon; 8 great grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, Alfred & Margie Hayes of Greenville; sister & brother-in-law, Kay & Eldon Lacey of Greenville; sisters-in-law, Judy and Marlene; brother-in-law, Robert; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Alberta was a proud graduate of Greenville High School Class of 1962. She was a florist at Plessinger Bros. Florist in Greenville and a longtime employee at Kmart in Greenville. Alberta was a member of the Wayne Lakes Card Club. A celebration of Alberta’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the Clubhouse in Wayne Lakes. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the clubhouse. Flowers are appreciated and memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice in Greenville.
