Beverly Sue Barnes

Beverly Sue Barnes, age 69 of Greenville, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 9:34 AM at Wayne Hospital, Greenville. Born in Greenville on November 14, 1954 she was a daughter to the late Gerald Smith & Velma (Brown) & John Boner. Beverly was a graduate of Ansonia High School, and retired from Corning after 20 years of service. She was a member of Hickory Grove United Baptist Church, and in her free time she enjoyed playing bingo, card games and Yahtzee. More than anything she loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son Douglas William Barnes: sister Loretta Bowman: grandparents Lauren & Esther Brown.

Survived by her husband of 50 years, Doug Barnes, whom she married July 7, 1973: children Lacosta & Joe Teague; Doug Barnes and fiancé Mirka: grandchildren Breawnna & Brit Rayburn; Matt & Leslie Teague; Brooke Teague; Brandon & Kristina Teague; Jayden Barnes; Brayden Barnes: great-grandchildren Ayden; Noah; Carson; Ellie; Eli ; Emrey; Kacie; Leah: siblings Dave & Pam Smith; Jody & Kevin Hoblit; Lauren & Wanda Smith: aunt Esther “Nicki” Reeser-Blankenship: best friend Jeri Camacho: as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on the family on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville. Funeral service to follow at 11 AM with Pastor Todd Reish presiding.
