

Carol was a graduate of Franklin Monroe High School, She worked for the Early Bird Newspaper in charge of accounts receivable until her retirement. Carol had a love for family, especially her grandchildren, and a love for travel and the two often mixed; as many family members remember trips with her. Carol visited 49 of the 50 states with trips to the southwest being among her favorites. One of her favorite hobbies was reading and you would often find her not too far from Kit-Kat candy bars and Pepsi Free.
In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Robert Ray Preston, as well as her daughter, Nancy Blankenship, and her granddaughter, Macie Preston; her brothers, Jerrie and Guy Smith; and brother-n-law's, Larry Preston,Edward Garno and Bruce Delk.
Carol is survived by her sons, Michael (Debra Parsow) Preston, Brian (Angela) Preston, and Mark Preston. Also by her Grandchildren, Alex (Kendall) Preston, Rachel (Colin) Johnson, Andrew Ross, Emily Ross, David Blankenship, Samantha (Caleb) Thwaits, Cody (Emily) Preston, Jordan (Chasta) Preston, Sara Preston, Sidney Preston, Kelsie Preston, Lily Preston, and Madison Preston; her sisters, Judy Milhoan, Vicki Garno, Pat (Tom) Hartle and Lori Delk; and her brother, Scott (Tamara) Smith; son-in-law, Matt Blankenship; brother-in-law, Richard (Judy) Preston and sister-in-law's, Beverly Preston and RaeAnn Smith. Carol leaves behind a long legacy of family, as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other family members.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville, Ohio on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 6:30 PM. Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 PM until the time of the service.
