Charlotte “Ma” Kitten, age 95, of Greenville, Ohio, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Trustwell Living at Oakley Place in Greenville. Charlotte was born on July 7, 1930, to the late George and Edna (Krogh) Neese.
In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her daughter, Evelyn Marie Kitten.
She is survived by her close friends, Mike James, Doug James, Lori (Brad) Stone…and their dog Faith, Todd Bailey and her East Zion Church and Oakley Place friends.
Charlotte was a member of the East Zion Church where she was active in music and worship. She enjoyed singing while Lori played the piano. She drove bus for many years, for Anthony Wayne Schools. She was very proud of her truck driving abilities; she even owned her own semi-truck at one time. She delivered meals to many in need as she worked for SCOPE in Darke and Preble counties, where she served for a period of time as manager. She and her daughter also had a business where they cared for the lawns of many. In her later years she became interested in flying and always hoped to fly with Todd in his plane. Around Darke county she will be missed for her sense of humor and kindness. It was not uncommon for her to announce her entrance into a room with by saying “Here Comes The Judge!” Appreciation is expressed to those at Oakley Place and Everheart Hospice for their care and attention.
A memorial service will held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Oakley Place with Pastor Paul Calvert officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Charlotte’s memory to Everheart Hospice, 1000 North Broadway, Greenville, Ohio 45331 or The Darke County Humane Society, 7053 St. Rt. 49, Greenville, Ohio 45331.
