

Mr. Danny Lee Brown age 69 of Stoney Ridge Rd. Blairsville passed away on Sunday April 5, 2026 in the N.E. GA Medical Center from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Danny died doing what he loved doing, riding his motorcycle.
He was born on August 29, 1956 in Greenville, OH., the son of the late Cletus Brown and the late Naomi Fields Brown.
Danny was a veteran of the US Navy and served from 1975-1977. He was an EMT in 1980, Graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s degree, 1977 Mayport Naval Station. He was a great running back for the Greenville Green Wave. He retired from Metzger and Company after many years of service. He loved riding his motorcycle, nature, sports and had a passion for reading. He was a loving and caring father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. Danny was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mr. brown are the mother of his children, Tamara McClanahan of Troy, OH., his children, David and Michelle Brown of Blairsville, Matthew and Lindsey Brown of Spirit Lake, Idaho, Alexander and Jacob Brown of Fairborn, OH., Ryan and Trish Thwaits of Murfreesboro, TN., one sister and brother in law, Julia and Willie Day of Cumming, GA., one brother and sister in law, Steve and Vida Brown of Whitehouse, TN., his grandchildren, Leland, Alesyn, Juliette, Nicole, Alexis, Charles (C.J.), Krue, Kayge, Keris, Marlo and Madison, one great grandchild, Onyx, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Tim Powell officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Mr. Brown’s memory.
Isiah 41:10 “ So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”.
