Elma Jean Wellman

Elma Jean Wellman, 89 Greenville, Ohio passed away on Saturday April 25, 2026, at 9:47 PM at Trustwell Oakley Place. She was born April 4, 1937, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the daughter of the late John and Pearl (Hyson) Sundman.

She was a member of St, Mary’s Catholic Church; she did cooking for the funeral meals; and she loved going to garage sales.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy C. Wellman whom she married April 18, 1959; her daughter and son in law: Dian and Neil Bryson; her son Robert Wellman; her step granddaughter: Andrea Clark; her sister: Martha Bowen.

She is survived by her children & spouses: John & Deborah Wellman of Columbus, Ohio, Joyce & Tod Clark of Greenville, Joseph (Penny Williams) Wellman of Greenville; grandchildren: Benjamin & Rebekah Bryson, Lindsey & Andrew Cizmar, Seth Bryson, Zachary & Amy Wellman, Ian Wellman, Jacob & Jess Clark; step granddaughter: Candice DeBoer; great grandchildren: Adalynn & Leviticus Bryson, Clara, Amelia & Nora Cizmar, Andrew Clark & Marygrace Clark; step great granddaughter: Emilie DeBoer; her brother: Leroy Sundman as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday April 30, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 233 West Third Street, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Fr. Matt Feist Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Church Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
