Jay Scott Moen

Jay Scott Moen, 58 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday February 20, 2026, at 11:56 AM at EverHeart Hospice Care Center, Greenville, Ohio. Jay was born May 8, 1967, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the son of Ruby Jane (Lowell) Moan and the late John Jay Moen.

Jay graduated from Westfield High School in Wisconsin. He worked for 38 years at Spartech as a Production Supervisor. He enjoyed music and had his own DJ business for 16 years; he loved drinking beer with his friends and even making his own beer, he enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and doing yardwork; he liked woodworking, traveling and grilling and smoking meats; and most of all he loved the Green Bay Packers.

Jay is preceded in death by his father, and his grandparents.

Jay is survived by his wife, Lisa (McGrath) Moen whom he married June 14, 2003; his daughters, Melissa Waubancum, and Monica Avalos; his grandchildren, Paige, Chad, Decan, Zaden, Duke, and Arlo; his brother, Jeff (Lisa) Moen; his siter, Jody Moen Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Jays’ life will be held on Wednesday February 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Chaplain Tish Shepherd officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the celebration on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made by the ALS Association.
