Larry Eugene Cain

Larry “Termite” Eugene Cain, age 70, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025, in Greenville. Born on October 11, 1954, Larry was the son of the late Geraldean (Sherwood) and Cecil Cain.

A longtime resident of Greenville, Termite worked as a mechanic at Ford Transmission, where he took great pride in his craft. He had a lifelong passion for working on cars and could often be found under the hood. When he wasn’t in the garage, Termite loved watching television and movies—his all-time favorite show was Star Trek, and he was known to enjoy relaxing in front of the screen with a sci-fi classic or action-packed movie.

Termite was preceded in death by his beloved parents, his sister Donna Stump, his brother Mark Cain, and his brother-in-law Harold Bates.

He is survived by his devoted sister, Deborah Bates, and a large extended family who loved him dearly: Kylie (Tylor) Bowman, Whitney Stump, Tanya Rue, Tiffany Sexton, Jeremy Cain, Chelsea Stump, Blaine Stump, William Stump, Keary Stump, Amy Mowbray, Samantha Cain, Carson Stump, Mikayla Livingston, Dalton Stump, and Hayden Gahrett-Stump, as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Termite’s family and friends will gather to honor his life at a graveside service on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Greenville Union Cemetery.
