Larry Michael Young

Larry Michael Young, age 82 of New Weston, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, at his residence. Larry was born on December 10, 1942, in Lima, Ohio and was the son of the late Kenneth and Mildred (Green) Young.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his son, Michael Young; his siblings, Goldie (Oscar) Schafer, Beryl (Henry) Hoggatt, Kenny Young Jr., Terry Young, George (Jean) Young and Gary (Marie) Young; his in-laws, Herbert and Arlean Wisner, Bob Wisner, Emogene (Bob) Sanders, Dorothy (Bob) Frazier and Sally (Donnie) Hampshire.

He is survived by his wife Martha Jane (Wisner), whom he married on September 4, 1964. His daughter, Melissa (Jeff) Young; his grandson, Casey (Grace) Young; great-granddaughter, Lilly Young, his sister, Jackie (Bill) Gardner and sister-in-law, Marge Young; his in laws, Mary Frazier, Richard (Patty) Wisner and Phyllis Wisner; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Larry was a 1960 graduate of Ansonia High School. After graduating high school, he served his country honorably in the United States Navy. Larry was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church in Union City, IN. Before retiring, Larry worked for Rick Moody Construction. Larry loved his family and will be dearly missed. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting for Indian artifacts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, August 28, 2025, in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Bruce Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Ansonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service in the funeral home.
