

Lee was born on December 15, 1941, in Lewisburg, Ohio, to the late Lawrence & Ethel (Brown) Crowell. Lee was also preceded in death by his grandson, Kyle Koffer; brothers, Larry Crowell, Leroy Crowell, and Lynn Crowell; infant sisters, Leona Crowell, and Loretta Crowell; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Charles & Betty Greer; and a brother-in-law, Charles Greer.
Lee is survived by his wife, Bonita K. (Greer) Crowell whom he married February 12, 2005; children, Donna & Don Hall of South Bend, Indiana, Doug & Erin Gray of Winchester, Indiana, and Kim & Kevin Sink of Arcanum; step children, Manya Noonan of Greenville, and Tony & Aileen Koffer of Greenville; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; siblings, Raine & Terry Longfellow of Greenville, Lew & Mary Crowell of Powell, Les Crowell of Greenville, Lyle Crowell of Versailles, Linda McGlothin of Laura, and Lavena & Patrick Marker of Greenville; sisters-in-law, Cherryl & Ron Thornburg of Pitsburg, Victoria Bragg of Greenville, and Mary Greer of Union City; and numerous nieces and nephews

Lee served in the U.S. Navy. He worked at Cadillac Gage in Greenville and later became a self-employed subcontractor in Lima at the Tank Plant. He was a member of the Fort Jefferson United Methodist Church and a life member of the VFW Post #7262 in Greenville. Lee enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Fort Jefferson United Methodist Church 3856 Church Street, Greenville with Rev. David Brisker and Rev. John McRoberts officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison with full military honors conducted by the Greenville Veteran’s Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Fort Jefferson United Methodist Church.
