Marjorie J. Booker

Marjorie J. Booker, age 91 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 4:34 AM at the EverHeart Hospice Care Center, Greenville, Ohio. Born in Dayton, Ohio on February 11, 1930 she was one of two daughters to the late Marion & Flora (Dickey) Subler. Marjorie was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Greenville. She enjoyed watching the birds, gardening, sitting on her back porch swing, and spending time with family. She will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son-in-law David Roote.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Merlin Booker, whom she married in June 19, 1948: children Brenda Roote; Cinda Brubaker & Scott Smith; Brian & Gina Booker: grandchildren Tod & Jennifer Miller; Amanda & Claye Anderson; Ryan & Sarah Brubaker; Haven & Philip Zimmer; Brianna & Jason Adams; Clint & Brandy Mikesell; Lindsay Mikesell: 10 great-grandchildren: sister Marilyn & Ben Murphy: as well as many more family members.

Friends are welcome to join the family in a funeral service on November 1, 2021 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Greenville, Ohio at 1:00 PM with Pastor Alliyah Greaver presiding.
