Marjorie J Hurst

Marjorie J. Hurst (Kincaid) went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Marjorie (Kincaid) Hurst was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 6, 1920 to Carl and Edna Kincaid. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband (of sixty-seven and one half years) John C. Hurst: brother Donald Kincaid: son Paul D. Hurst (a retired school teacher from the Greenville school system), and daughter Judy Cupp (also a retired school teacher). Marjorie is survived by her son John D. (Jeanne) Hurst of Knoxville, TN; Beverly Hurst (wife of Paul Hurst) and Charles Cupp (husband of Judy Cupp): grandchildren , Joel Cupp, Stephen Cupp, Tim Hurst, Jennifer (Hurst) Webb, David Hurst, Michael Hurst, Julie (Hurst) Fitch: several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Marjorie was a loving mother to her three children and a devoted wife to her husband. Her husband was a pastor in the Church of the Brethren (Gratis, Ohio), Circleville Church of the Brethren (Circleville, Ohio), Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren (Union City, Ohio), New Haven Church of the Brethren (Middletown, Michigan), Chrystal Church of the Brethren (Chrystal, Michigan), and Beech Grove Church of the Brethren (Hollansburg, Ohio). After John retired from the ministry they bought a house in Hollansburg, Ohio and eventually moved to the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville, Ohio where they had volunteered for several years. Marjorie will be greatly missed but her influence will live on. We look forward to being reunited with Marjorie in heaven someday. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM in the chapel at the Brethren Retirement Community on Saturday, July 14th, 2018. There will be a time of visitation from 3:00-4:00 PM.
