Marvin was born February 14, 1937, in Pitsburg, Ohio, to the late Orville S. & Lova E. (Heisey) Shuttleworth. Marvin was also preceded in death by his 1st wife, Phyllis D. (Moyer) Shuttleworth; 2nd wife, Eva N. (Garber) Shuttleworth; sister, Bonnie Sue Shuttleworth; and step sons, Charles Myers and Galen Myers.
Marvin is survived by his children, Gregory (Donna) Shuttleworth of Villa Hills, Kentucky, Mark L. (Jennifer) Shuttleworth of Loveland; stepchildren, Pamela (Jerry) Sowers of Piqua and Sandy Myers of Piqua; and grandchildren, Addison Shuttleworth, Daniel Shuttleworth; step grandchildren, Nanette Bell, Angela Finfrock, Brian Sowers and Jonathan Myers.
Marvin was a farmer, worked at TWA Airlines, Century Electric and was a supervisor at Flaig Lumber in New Madison. He was a member of Ft. Jefferson United Methodist Church, where he was very active as a Sunday School Teacher, lay leader, Pastor Parish Committee, Care Minister Committee, Church Council and was the janitor. Marvin enjoyed golfing and watching the Cincinnati Reds play.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Ft. Jefferson United Methodist Church 3856 Church St. Ft. Jefferson, Ohio, with Pastor Bill Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Ft. Jefferson. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville and Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church.
