Ricky Alan Hoskins

Ricky Alan Hoskins, age 68, of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 12:47 PM Monday September 29, 2025, at EverHeart Hospice Care Center of Greenville following a short illness with cancer. Rick was born March 5, 1957, in Greenville and the son of the late Clyde Hoskins and Lucille “Webb” (Hoskins) Wehrkamp.

Rick was a Master Plasterer and was the owner and operator of Rick Hoskins Plastering and Remodeling. In addition to his plaster and construction work he also had worked at Fram Corporation, Schrader Retreading, Precision Concrete and drove a milk truck for his father-in-law. He enjoyed drag racing, tinkering in his garage and working on cars and spending time with his family and friends. He was also a 1975 graduate of Greenville Senior High School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Ron Hoskins; father-in-law Larry Howell; stepmother Eileen Hoskins; stepfather Howard “Bud” Wehrkamp and nephews Bruce Hoskins, Brian Hoskins and Nathan Howell.

Rick is survived by his wife Debi (Howell) Hoskins of Greenville. They were married on April 4, 1987. Also, children Shelley Hoskins of Maineville, Ohio, April Sullivan and Nick (Kayla) Hoskins all of Greenville; grandchildren Dylan Martinez, Erica Motsinger, Joe Sullivan, Austin Sullivan, Hannah Sullivan, Oaklee Hoskins, Addilyn Vanskyock, Adrianna Vanskyock and Colten Vanskyock; great grandson Jaxson Martinez; sisters Donna (Greg) Strickler, Debbie Miller and Denise (Eugene) Mayo; mother-in-law Gloria Howell of Greenville; brothers-in-law Mike (Toni) Howell, Scott (Deanne) Howell and Chris Howell; best friend Rick Conyers as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday October 6, 2025, in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Scott Hobbs officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday October 5, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the funeral home.
