Alice L. Ferguson

Alice L. Ferguson, of Greenville, SC, 83, (Formerly of Charlotte, NC and Akron, Ohio) went home to be with her creator and savior on February 7, 2025. Alice was the daughter of Charles and Nettie Mulligan. Alice graduated from Coral Gables High School, Florida in 1960 and the University of Akron, with a B.A. in Education in 1966. After her college graduation she worked for the East Ohio Gas Company as a Service Representative. On March 28, 1970, Alice married John Ferguson in Akron, Ohio

Alice and John went on to raise their two sons Michael and Charles. Alice was a very loving and nurturing wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Alice was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church in Taylors, SC, where she was a Sunday School Teacher of the Life Group. She loved teaching crochet at Furman University. Many baby blankets and hats were made by Alice.

Alice is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John Ferguson; sons, Michael of Charlotte, NC and Charles (Becky) of Stanley, NC; grandchildren, Joshua Riley (Maira), Amanda Allen (Chris), Ryan Ferguson; great grandchildren, Atlas, Santiago, Sophia, Sebastian; brothers-in-law, James Smith and Robert Ferguson Jr. (Marie); sisters-in-law, Sylvia Ferguson, Betty Margaret Ferguson (Best Friend). Many very special nieces and nephews and cousins.

Services: Taylors First Baptist, 200 W. Main St. Taylors, SC 29687, 864-244-3535 on Saturday, February 15, 2025. Visitation 12:30 pm, Service will follow at 2:00 pm, Graveside Burial at 3:00 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609.
