Allen H. Cantrell

Allen Hendricks Cantrell, son of Allen F. Cantrell (deceased) and Carole Cantrell, brother to Susan (Petroff) and John, brother-in-law to Steve Petroff and Uncle to Jake left this world unexpectedly but peacefully on October 14th.

He was career oriented, an accomplished artist, unbelievably creative and possessed amazing culinary skills. His great love was his family and especially his nephew Jake. A close second to family came Clemson University, which he attended. He loved the football program the most ecstatic, to say the least, when they won the National Championship.

He was currently a Manager in Supply Chain for MRC Global. He started his career early and rapidly rose through the ranks becoming an expert in his field and respected throughout the industry. His generosity was unsurpassed. It was never surprising when someone would tell any of us “Allen truly helped me in my time of need”. He was an avid collector of art and has an extensive volume of leather bound books which he read and dated upon completion. He loved entertaining his family and friends. We miss his laughter, love, infectious smile and the way he made us all feel important and special. You will always be loved, always missed but forever in our hearts.

A memorial service to celebrate Allen’s life will be held at 4pm Saturday, October 28, 2017 in the Chapel of The Mackey Mortuary with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
