

She is survived by three children: Glenda Lee MacMillan, Anna MacMillan Ford (Steve) and Benjamin Bolt MacMillan (Starlina); eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren; two special nephews: Richard Hudson and Kenneth Baker that she was very closed to. Barbara was predeceased by her three sisters: Glenn, Ramelle, Mamie and one grandson.
Barbara graduated from Greenville Senior High in 1955, and has the distinction of being the youngest 1st chair violinist in the Greenville Symphony. Up until her retirement, Barbara worked in the legal field, and was well respected and loved within the legal community. She was also active in the Episcopal Church all of her life, teaching Sunday School, playing the organ, and serving on the vestry and altar guilds for many years.
Throughout her life Barbara was always there to help others, never saying, “No,” when someone was in need. She cherished her family and friends and was very devoted to them, making certain they knew how much they were loved.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607.
A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Christ Church Episcopal, 10 North Church Street, Greenville, SC 29601. A committal service will occur at Springwood Cemetery, 410 N Main St, Greenville, SC 29601.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Cancer Society of Greenville, 113 Mills Ave, Greenville, SC 29605 or Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Rd, Greenville, SC 29607
