Bette was a preschool teacher in church ministry as well as a substitute teacher in the Greenville County Schools.
She was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church and sang in various church choirs and the Billy Graham Crusade in Greenville, SC. Some of her favorite songs were Majesty, To God Be the Glory and the Sound of Music.
She is survived by her sons, James William Pangle, Jr. (Corrine), Benjamin Thomas Pangle, Jeffrey Alan Pangle; grandchildren, Adam Pangle (Ashley), Matthew Pangle (Hannah), Jamie Pangle, Julianna Curran (Sean) and 5 great grandchildren.
Bette was predeceased by her husband, James William Pangle, Sr. and her sister Nancy Rhyne of Myrtle Beach, SC.
The family will have a private graveside service at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
