Betty Jo Miller Atwood

Born in Westminster, SC, she was the daughter of Dorothy Crenshaw and DeWitt John Miller. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold.

Betty was a graduate of Limestone College. She worked as a librarian at Guilford College, Greenville County, including Donaldson Airbase and retired from Greenville High School. She was a member of the Greenville Woman’s Club, and a faithful member of the Second Presbyterian Church of Greenville.

She is survived by her sister Dot Dillard of Greenville, a daughter Beth Atwood also of Greenville, two sons and their wives, John and Margaret Atwood of Greenville and Ken and Tammie Atwood of Piedmont SC. She is also survived by three granddaughters Carly, Jessica and Audra and four grandsons, Nathan, Will, Andy and Hunter.

Betty is also survived by a dear and special friend, Mr. Dempsey Stephens.

Visitation will be Tuesday March 16 from 5-7PM at Woodlawn funeral home. Funeral services will be lead by Pastor Robert Spears on Wednesday March 17, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
