Beverly Ann Theresa Liedtke Histon, age 83, died April 6 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born December 18, 1934 in Utica, NY. She was the only child of Cecelia Martin Liedtke and John L. Liedtke.
She was educated in parochial school in Utica and graduated from New Hartford High, class of 1953. Beverly worked for AT&T, Agway and GE where she met and married Thomas D. Histon on April 12, 1958. They moved to Greenhills, Ohio in 1964. She was an Avon representative for 9 years. The family moved to Greenville, SC in 1972. She worked for Ivey's Department Store for 1 ½ years. Beverly loved bowling, golfing, tennis, reading and going to her summer home in Chickasaw Point. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and volunteered for St. Francis Hospital (Eastside) for 21 years. Her humor, smile, laughter, and positive spirit will be deeply missed by those who loved her and by all the people whose lives she touched.
Surviving Beverly is her daughter Judith H. Eastham (Clint), her son Brian J. Histon (Julie) and her 5 grandchildren Hunter and Ali Eastham, Haley, Thomas and Katherine Histon. Predeceasing her were husband (30 years) Thomas D. Histon May 11,1988, best friend and companion Herb Jones of GA, 24 aunts and uncles and 7 first cousins.
A memorial service will be held at Lutheran Church of Our Saviour on April 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
A private burial for the family will be at a later date in the Rock Garden of Woodlawn Memorial Park.
