She was the proud mother of Wayne (Linda), Alan, and Brian (Leslie). Skip loved children and was also the beloved caregiver of Ashley, Tara, Kristen, Lisa, and David. All her kids will remember her quirky sense of humor and faithful support.
Grandma Skip will remain in the hearts of her grandchildren, Phillip (Jonee), Lydia (Drew), and Sebastian.
She will be a guardian angel to her great grandchildren Andrew, Warren, Analeise, and Sylvia.
Even though Skip grew up in Belchertown, MA with eleven siblings, her heart found its home in South Carolina. Loretta Lynn was always on her radio and the lyrics that describe the peace we feel thinking
of our cherished memories are from the song “Lay Me Down.”
When they lay me down someday,
My soul will rise, then fly away
This old world will turn around,
I’ll be at peace when they lay me down
There are no tears where I am bound,
and I’ll be at peace when they lay me down
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to honor Skip’s best friend and companion of 18 years, Sammi.
In memory of: Skip & Sammi, Oconeehumane.org, Oconee Humane Society, PO Box 966 West Union, SC 29696.
