Bobby S. Burdette

Born in Woodruff, SC, Mr. Burdette was a son of the late Herbert and Fanny Burdette. For 21 years he was an artist at Lyman Printing and Finishing, upon leaving he became a freelance artist. Much of his work was known through Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Association, and Southeastern Wildlife Expedition in Charleston, SC. He was also a member of the Knife Makers Guild of SC. He enjoyed the outdoors and family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Todd Burdette. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Julia Burdette; a daughter, Inga Norris (Wayne) of Woodruff, SC; a son, David Troy Burdette (Sarah) of Greenville, SC; a brother, Jerry Burdette (Sue) of Hendersonville, NC; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 2pm in the Chapel of The Mackey Mortuary. Burial will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens in Woodruff, SC. The family will receive friends at the mortuary one hour prior to the service.
