

Born December 4, 1993 – Brookelyn spent her early life in Atlanta, Georgia before moving back to South Carolina. She was a graduate of Mauldin High School and was employed with First Citizens Bank.
Brookelyn loved entertaining, traveling, spending time with family and close friends, but most importantly, she loved her children and would move mountains for them.
She was preceded in death by her maternal great grandmother and great grandfather; Dr. James and Mrs. Almeta Kennedy.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her sons- James Zion Briggs and Zachariah Allen Briggs.
Other survivors include her parents, Ameka Jenkins-Burton (Greenville SC) & Jason (Tanya) Mitchell ( Pearland, Texas). Her Grandparents Frankie Kennedy (Mauldin SC) & Lewis Mitchell Sr (Longview, Texas) Siblings- Jasmine Dejanee Mitchell, Autumn Kennedy, Jason Darrell Mitchell II, Jadon Dash Mitchell, James Mekai Townsend, Prince Walter Kennedy. One niece, Maddison Mouton, two uncles Lewis Mitchell Jr, Wesley Mitchell; a special “Godmother”, Nikkisha Garrison as well as a host of friends and other family, and a special relative, Rebecca Burton.
A visitation for Brookelyn will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at I-85 Church of Christ, 10 Lone Tree Court, Greenville, SC 29605 followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM. A burial will follow the funeral service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 1699 Piedmont Hwy, Piedmont, SC 29673.
