

Carl Hebron Graves, 88, of Taylors, SC, passed away surrounded by his caring family on January 15, 2017. He was born in Memphis, TN to the late Carl Richmond and Mary Ellen Hebron Graves. He was married to his loving wife, Elizabeth Ann Graves, for over 30 years. After graduating from Springhill College and Rhodes College, he served many years as the Area Manager for Ford Motor Credit. Carl was passionate about serving others. He served on the Board of Directors of Memphis Boys Town and was a 50+ year member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was also awarded an honorary Police Captain badge, Collierville Aux, in the state of Tennessee. In addition to his wife Elizabeth, Carl is survived by his children, Linda Dickinson (Craig), Debbie Troxell, Lisa Sheldon (Jim), Cheryl Newton, and Michael Newton (Diane); his grandchildren, Ryan Garrison, Blaine Garrison, Tammy O’Connell (John), and Michele Patel (Vijay); and his great-grandchildren, Shannon O’Connell, Brenna O’Connell, Tommy Garrison, Lucas Patel, and Haven Patel. Carl will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Christ Church Episcopal, 10 N Church Street, Greenville, SC 29601.
