Catherine Barbara Wrobel

Catherine was a devoted wife to William “Bill” Wrobel, and they were married for 60 years. She was also a devoted member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Greenville for 15 years.

Catherine was an encouraging person that lifted others up with her positivity. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren deeply. Catherine loved an adventure and the outdoors. She was an avid gardener and a lover of things with natural beauty, and she was extremely active, walking miles each day. She was also a music enthusiast, enjoying many various genres.

In addition to her husband Bill, Catherine is survived by her children, William Wrobel, Jonathan Wrobel, Sheila Burgess, Chris Wrobel, and Seth Wrobel; her grandchildren, Casey McCullough, Rachel Wrobel, William Wrobel, Sarah Wrobel, Christopher Wrobel, Taylor Wrobel, Megan McCullough, Steven Wrobel, Kelly Wrobel, and Chloe Wrobel; her sisters, Nancy Baker, Joan Warner; and her brother, Francis Almeter.

Catherine is predeceased by her grandson, Zachary Wrobel; her sisters, Peg O’Brien and Mickey Almeter; and her brother, Jack Almeter.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 9th at 2:00pm in the Chapel at the Mackey Mortuary. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 1:45pm. Interment will follow the funeral service at Graceland East Memorial Park.
