Those left to cherish his memory are Georgia Landers Jenkinson, his wife of 68 years, his son, C. Benjamin Jenkinson, Jr. (Melissa), and his grandchildren, Cory B. Jenkinson (Mayla) and Tyler G. Jenkinson. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Carolyn Jenkinson Biggers.
Born on March 23, 1935 in Greenville, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Midge and Joe Thomas Jenkinson.
Ben enjoyed a diverse career. He served the country during his time in the Navy. After leaving the Navy he owned and operated Ikes Food Mart in Taylors, South Carolina. He then began his next career as part of Branch Bank and Truist's management team. After retiring from the bank, he worked as a bailiff at the Greenville County Courthouse.
When Ben was not working, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking with friends and family.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1901 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Ben’s memory to Boys Town or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
