

Born in Gastonia, NC, Charles was a son of the late Richard Clyde (R.C.) and Lena Kendrick. He was a devoted husband and dedicated to his family. Charles retired from a job he loved with the Greenville News where he was a linotype machine operator in the Composing Room.
Mr. Kendrick is survived by a son, Charles Kendrick Jr. and wife Jing; a daughter, Robin Jordan and husband James; five grandchildren, Angelica Kendrick, Jessica Lloyd and husband Josh, Mary Frances Runion and husband Caleb, Grace Jordan, Markei Jordan; and two great grandchildren, Daryl Neely and Charley Lloyd. Also surviving Mr. Kendrick are many nephews and nieces.
Predeceasing Mr. Kendrick, other than his loving wife and parents, are six brothers; R.C. Kendrick Jr, Sgt. Cecil Kendrick, Lt. Col. Robert Kendrick, Kenneth Kendrick, Donald Kendrick, Hugh Kendrick and one sister; Mrs. James Stevenson (Marguerite)
A Memorial Service for Mr. Kendrick will be held on Sunday November 26, 2017 at 1:00pm in the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville SC, 29609. A private burial will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville SC, 29609.
