David Sloan, of Cross Hill, SC, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Born in Clinton, NC, he was a son of the late Charles David and Margaret Faison Sloan, Sr. David graduated from NC State University with a degree in electrical engineering and was employed by Flour since 1989. David attended Connection Fellowship Church. He had just moved from his home in Taylors to his lake house on Lake Greenwood, where he enjoyed the water and fishing. He was an avid Jaguar enthusiast and sports fan. He adored his two dogs, three cats and his two granddogs. Surviving is his wife, Deborah Wellons Sloan; daughters, Jade Sloan Goodman and her husband, Josh Gould-Goodman and Blanche Camille Sloan; siblings, Faison Sloan and Nell Sloan. Memorial services will be held 2 pm Saturday, May 24, 2014 in The Mackey Mortuary Chapel conducted by Pastor David Lyles and Pastor Steve Ellis.
