

Clarence was married to the love of his life, Helen Jane Harris, for 62 years. He was a member of Earle Street Baptist Church for over 19 years. He served his country proudly in the Navy and the Naval Reserves. He retired twice, once from Life of Virginia and once from New York Life. He stayed active even after retirement, up until the last two years of his life.
In addition to his wife Helen Jane, Clarence is survived by his children, Michael Harris (Sherry), Mark Harris, and Dan Harris (Joyce); his grandchildren, John Michael Harris (Kayla) and Jason Harris (Jessica); his great-grandchildren, Leah Plexico, Stella Harris, Caylee Harris, and Kellye Harris; and his beloved dog Blackie.
Clarence is predeceased by his step-father, Doc Sauls; his great-grandson, Caydon Harris; and his half-brother, Ronnie Harris.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 13th at 1:00pm at Earle Street Baptist Church, 225 W Earle Street, Greenville. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30am – 12:45pm. An interment will follow the service at Graceland East Memorial Park, Simpsonville.
