David Jamison Block, age 42, father of Jacob David Kanara-Block died suddenly on December 28, 2016. A native of Greenville, son of Keith S. Block, Jr. and the late Rocelia C. Block. After graduating from Wade Hampton High School, David sought adventure out west, spending time working at Glacier National Park, Park City, Utah, Mt. Rainier and Jackson Hole, WY to name a few. When not working David hiked, backpacked, snow boarded and fished the Snake River. Upon his return to Greenville, he worked at various pursuits including computer repair, retail and his pride and joy, Lawn Recovery, landscaping service. David was a kind soul, loved his son Jacob and as he wrote on his Facebook profile "studied at the School of Hard Knocks, University of Life".
Surviving are three brothers: Bryan, Andrew and Nathan.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 pm, Thursday January 5, 2017 at chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with visitation at 5:00 pm-5:45 pm.
