Born February 26, 1933 she was the daughter of the late John Daniel Welborn and Louise Davis Welborn.
She was a graduate of Taylors High School.
Jean lived most of her adult life in Fort Worth, Texas where she worked for Foster & Sons Mortgage Loan Company. While in Texas she met her husband William “Bill” Pearce.
Upon retirement, Jean returned to her home of Greenville, SC.
Jean was a member of Earle Street Baptist church. She loved her Sunday School Class members and her pastor, Stephen Clyborne.
Jean is survived by her sisters, Robbie (Hugh) Badger of Greenville, SC and
Mary Lee (Lee) Barnwell of Columbia, SC.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Bill, and siblings, Dan Welborn, Helen Fleming and David Welborn.
Jean will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews whom she loved and was so interested in their lives.
A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 9th at 1:00pm in Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1901 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville SC, 29609 and officiated by Dr. Stephen Clyborne.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Jean's honor to Earle Street Baptist Church, 225 W. Earl St., Greenville SC, 29609 or Caris Hospice, 111Smith Hines Rd. #D, Greenville SC, 29607.
