

Edith Boling Lee 87 of Greenville passed away Thursday, February 10 2022, at Oakview Manor Assisted Living. She is the daughter of Mitchell A Boling and Florence Batson. Mrs. Lee retired from Umbro Manufacturing in the payroll department.
Edith is survived by one sister Betty Lancaster of Williamsport, PA. Other surviving members of her family are her three daughters Sandra Thornton, Tina Durham and her husband Dan, and June Coe and her husband Dan. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy J Lee and her son-in-law Ted Thornton.
She is also survived by two grandchildren Lindsey Dodgens and her husband Joshua and David Barnett. Her two step grandchildren Austin and Keira Dodgens along with her great grandson Kade Dodgens.
Edith was a lifelong member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church where she enjoyed helping with the children's department and in later years traveling with the Joy Seniors. She also was a longtime member of the Daughters of the Nile of Greenville. Edith was most happy flower gardening, spending time with family, traveling, and especially keeping her grandchildren.
A visitation for Edith will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Mountain Creek Baptist Church, 255 W. Mountain Creek Church Rd., Greenville, SC 29609. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 255 W. Mountain Creek Church Rd., Greenville, SC 29609. A committal service will occur Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 255 W. Mountain Creek Church Rd., Greenville, SC 29609.

The family would like to express appreciation for the outstanding care and love shown to Edith while she was living at Oakview Park. We would also like to thank Interim Hospice for their care over the past three months.
