Esther Ann McConnell, 74, of Taylors, SC, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital – Downtown.
Born in New Britain, CT, she was a daughter of the late William and Edith Currie McConnell. Esther was a very sweet, kind and loving person. She attended Morningside Baptist Church in Greenville.
She is survived by her sister, Edith “Liza” Menillo (Frank); her local niece, Rachel Cohee (Mark) and their children Katelyn and Lucy, whom she adored, and her nephew, David Menillo; and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Alice Miller.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 PM until 12:45 PM on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will be private.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis and in accordance with CDC guidelines, we are limiting the gathering to 50 persons or less in order to protect the health of the McConnell family, our community, and our associates. We ask that you kindly respect this request for the benefit of all we serve.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Morningside Baptist Church, 1115 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615, or to the charity of one’s choice.
